Recently, one of my longtime friends and I got together to hang out and catch up. Sotto, Krwnd Sotto, who is an amazing writer and entrepreneur, and I have known each other for about 15 years.. We met at church and have stayed in and out of contact ever since. This was probably the first time in about 8 years that we were able to meet up and catch up. This was completely unplanned, which always ends up being the best of days. As we were catching up and updating each other on our endeavors, I thought it would be great to pull out the camera and get some shots, since we’ve actually never taken any pictures before. Since we were at a park near my local area, I wanted to take advantage and get some good shots. Prior to this week, it had been a little while since I was able to do some photography. I was pretty excited to see what I could come up with, especially since this was my first time shooting with Sotto. After I got some amazing shots of him, I decided to jump in and get some joint pictures with him. Now, to explain the title, back in 2008, I had my Junior prom (Goes to show you how old I am. lol) and I had asked Sotto to be my prom date. We were talking all the time back then so I thought it would be perfect. Unfortunately, things fell through last minute and we never had the chance to go to prom. Well, I went, just not with him. Now, 10 years later, I think these can count as our prom pictures and quite frankly I couldn’t be happier with them. lol This was a great and fun shoot. I believe these are also some of my better shots. I’m so proud of Sotto for going after his dreams and glad that I could play a part. He’s inspired me so much with his writing and maybe one day, we can write together.
